Introduction
Welcome to the fresh days of spring! While this season lifts spirits, it can be a bit harsh on our skin. Winter may have disrupted its hydration and roughened its surface, leaving it more susceptible to external stressors. Spring, in contrast, tends to overstimulate various skin functions. As a result, certain concerns may appear: dehydration, blemishes, sensitivity, and dull complexion. Laboratoire Dr Renaud offers tailored solutions to help your skin regain its balance and its natural beauty.

Glycolic Acid or Salicylic Acid for a Fresh Start
Definition and usage
A radiant complexion is often synonymous with beautiful skin. To shed the toxins accumulated over winter and refine skin texture, it’s beneficial to stimulate cell renewal through a slightly more intensive exfoliation than usual—while remaining gentle.
AHAs such as glycolic acid or lactic acid, and the BHA known as salicylic acid, are ideal for this purpose. They help detach surface cells that dull the complexion and create uneven texture. The results: brighter skin, smoother texture, reduced pigmentation spots, and balanced pH for a healthier epidermis.
Glycolic acid and lactic acid are suitable for dry and dehydrated skin types.
For oily or blemish-prone skin, salicylic acid is the ingredient of choice thanks to its purifying properties. It stimulates cell renewal, smooths skin texture, fades dark spots, fights blackheads, and reduces inflammation-related symptoms.

- Promote collagen production;
- Reduce pigment formation by inhibiting tyrosinase;
- Decrease water loss, improving skin hydration.
L-ascorbic acid is the purest, most potent, and most bioavailable form of vitamin C—and the only form recognized and used by the body.
